Tilt-bed trailer delivering a shipping container
Most Common

Tilt-Bed Trailer

Our primary delivery method. The truck bed tilts and the container slides off directly onto your prepared surface. Works great for most residential and commercial sites with standard driveway access.

  • Quick and efficient placement
  • Requires straight-line access
  • No crane needed

Complex Sites

Flatbed + Crane

For sites that need precise placement over obstacles, onto foundations, or in locations where a tilt-bed cannot slide the container directly. A crane lifts and places the container exactly where needed.

  • Precise placement over obstacles
  • Ideal for foundation placement
  • Additional crane fee applies

Limited Access

Side-Lifter

A specialized truck with built-in hydraulic arms that lift the container from the side. Perfect for tight spaces, narrow driveways, or sites where the container needs to be placed alongside the truck.

  • Works in tight spaces
  • No extra crane required
  • Self-contained lifting system

Site Preparation for Your Build

A little preparation goes a long way. Here is what you need to have ready before delivery day.

Level Surface

The placement area should be as level as possible. Minor grading may be needed. An uneven surface can cause doors to bind and structural stress over time.

Foundation Options

Choose the right foundation based on your build goals and local code requirements:

Concrete Piers

Elevated support at corner points, great for drainage and airflow

Gravel Pad

Affordable and easy, provides drainage and a level base

Concrete Slab

Permanent and code-compliant for most jurisdictions

Railroad Ties

Budget-friendly support beams placed under the container rails

Clearance Requirements

Make sure your site has adequate clearance for the delivery truck and container:

  • Minimum 12 ft wide access path
  • 14 ft vertical clearance (overhead wires, branches)
  • 70+ ft straight-line for tilt-bed delivery
  • Firm ground (no soft mud or sand)

Truck Access

The delivery truck is approximately 60-70 ft long. Ensure there are no locked gates, low-hanging cables, or tight turns that would prevent access. If you are unsure about access, send us photos or a Google Maps link and we will advise on the best delivery method.

Delivery FAQ

Common questions about our container delivery process.

Standard delivery within the Tampa Bay area is included free of charge with your container purchase. For locations outside our primary service zone, delivery fees vary based on distance. Contact us with your delivery ZIP code for an exact quote.

Yes, we deliver to residential properties regularly. Many of our customers are building tiny homes, ADUs, or backyard offices. As long as there is adequate truck access and clearance, we can deliver to most residential lots.

With tilt-bed delivery, the container slides off in a straight line from the truck, so placement depends on where the truck can position itself. For precise placement over a foundation or in a specific orientation, a crane delivery is recommended. Let us know your placement requirements and we will advise the best method.

We strongly recommend that you or a representative be on-site during delivery. This ensures the container is placed exactly where you want it and allows you to inspect the container upon arrival.
